A Dangerous Man

Mostly due to the amount of dairy I’ve been consuming… and I’m lactose-intolerant. Hence the look on my face.

Last weekend was Britt’s 15th birthday. We celebrated by breaking out of prison. Well, the Prison Break room at Great Escape Mystery Rooms to be more accurate. And technically we failed because we didn’t solve the last puzzle until 42 seconds after the buzzer.

Oh well, we had a blast anyway. And after seeing the photos, I learned that in the right light, I can go from 44 to 64 with a simple change of facial expressions.

The past few days gave us crystal clear skies to get a great view of the Snow Moon, which given the weather this month, “Snow” is a misnomer. We managed to hit 80° last week, and we’re supposed to hit 86° on Tuesday.

WHAT THE HELL?! It’s like February didn’t show up for work, so they got May to cover his shift. That little furry fart nugget, Punxsutawney Phil, promised me 6 more weeks of winter, and I intend to collect.

In other news, another stray dog decided to take up residence at my house. We’re pretty sure he was dumped here because he refused to leave or roam. So we decided to foster him while we work with The Artemis Project to find him a good home.

We decided he needed a name. So after a little thought and research, I decided to name him Rakki (pronounced Rocky). In Japanese, it means “lucky”, and in old Norse it means “dog”. I thought it fitting because he really is a “lucky dog”. And since he showed up around Valentine’s Day, we decided his full name will be Rakki Valentine

He’s surprisingly well behaved and chill, for the most part. He gets along great with the other dogs. He also like to match the energy of the other dogs, so now Hazel has someone to wrestle with. He’s a good dog, and I really hope we can find him a home soon.

Until next time, ‘ver heil ok sæl’.
